4th IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy

Call For Posters, Demos and Short Talks

The IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy (EuroS&P) is a premier forum for computer security and privacy research, presenting the latest developments and bringing together researchers and practitioners. This year there is a joint call for posters/demos/short-talks together with the Cybersecurity and Privacy (CySeP) summer school, an event with stellar speakers in its 5th instantiation this year.

The posters/demos/short-talks are solicited on in-progress research on security and privacy related topics. The focus is both on the design, development, and experiences with security and privacy technologies including preliminary results, lessons learned, exciting practical problems and other topics of interest to the community.

Abstracts should briefly describe the problem being addressed, and describe in detail the approach to solve the problem. Providing preliminary results is encouraged but not required. We welcome submissions that highlight exciting ideas both from the academia and the industry, especially those discussing real-life security and privacy experiences. By presenting a poster/demo/short-talk researchers have a unique opportunity to obtain valuable feedback on their work from leading experts in security and cryptography from industry and academia participating at the conference.

Visibility

Each accepted poster/demo/short-talk will be presented during a special session on June 13, 2019 (during the CySeP week). Posters authors can present on June 17, 2019 (during the IEEE EuroS&P welcome reception) or both weeks.

The short talks session packs as many 5-minute presentations as possible into one fast-paced, action-packed session. The June 13 poster/demo session will be preceded by a fast-paced session of 1-minute teaser talks. Both poster/demo sessions will be combined with buffet receptions.

The short (5-min or 1-min) talks will provide an opportunity to access the entire audience. At the same time, all attendees will have ample time to visit posters/demos and short talks.

Posters/demos and short talk abstracts will be published on the conference website.

Instructions

We welcome proposals submitted as an abstract, maximum one A4 page long, double-column, min. font size 10, with reasonable margins. This, in PDF format, should describe the envisioned contribution, motivate how it relates to the event theme and why it could spark discussions. It should also provide information about the presenters and their organizations and any special needs for the setup/presentation.

Posters/demos/short-talks abstracts are due Friday, May 10, 2019. At least one author of each accepted poster/demo/short-talk will be required to register, attend and present the submitted work. The registration can be either at CySeP (giving access only to the EuroS&P poster session) or EuroS&P at student rate (if applicable) giving access to the short talk/demo/poster session of CySeP.

Please submit your abstract at IEEE Euro S&P/CySeP 2019. Please specify the type of submission by having [Poster:], [Demo:], [Poster/Demo+Short Talk:], [Short Talk:] as prefix to your title.
