Hotel Information

The workshops will be held at the Westin St. Francis, at Union Square in San Francisco, CA.

A room block has been set aside for Symposium attendees at the Westin St. Francis and at the Westin San Francisco Airport. Please note that rooms are on limited availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please visit the hotels page for details.

Support is available to help cover the expenses for 5 US-based students (1 per workshop at $1000/person). Students are eligible for a travel grant to only one of IEEE Security and Privacy (S&P) or SPW.

We encourage applications from students from a wide variety of institutions, diverse backgrounds, and first time attendees. Undergraduate and graduate students will be considered. An application for a travel award will consist of the student's resume, a statement from the student, and a letter from the student's research advisor. The advisor should include justification of financial need. The student's statement should include a summary of research interests, a statement of why the applicant will benefit from participating in the symposium, and how the applicant can contribute to the symposium through service or technical contribution.

The amount of support provided to US students will be $1000 per person. Students are required to stay in the Westin San Francisco Airport hotel, if space is available.

The date of application is starting from April 1 and closing on April 13. Send applications and advisor's letter (email suffices) to: travel-spw@ieee-security.org.
