Hotel Information

The conference will be held at the Westin St. Francis, at Union Square in San Francisco, CA.

A room block has been set aside for Symposium attendees at the Westin San Francisco Airport (main site, reservations) and at the Westin St. Francis (main site, reservations SOLD OUT). For directions to and from the hotels see the travel page.

Westin San Francisco Airport

Rooms at the Westin San Francisco Airport are offered at the rate of $179.00 per night, not including the sales/room tax, currently at 15.58%. The hotel will offer complimentary unlimited access to the Health Club and wireless internet access in guest rooms. There will be a complimentary shuttle from the Westin San Francisco Airport to the conference. Another option is to use public transportation via the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system. The schedule for the shuttle and public transit details are below.

Transportation Option: Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

Downtown Westin - Powell St. BART station: The Downtown Westin is about 2 blocks from the station.

Airport Westin - Milpitas BART station: walk about 0.3 miles to/from the station. The station is on the West side of the 101 freeway. The hotel is on the East side of the freeway. The Airport Westin can provide detailed directions.

Airport Westin - SFO BART station: use the hotel airport shuttle to/from the airport international terminal. The BART station is on the North end of the international terminal. Contact the Airport Westin for more information regarding their airport shuttle.

Parking available on-site, with in and out privileges. Rates: $20 + tax per night per car.

Special Rebate Offer!

$100 off of the symposium price, for anyone paying full price in his/her category and staying at the Airport Westin and registering with our room block. The rebate will be issued the week of the conference, via the same mechanism as the payment mechanism.

For example, if you are a non-member who paid by credit card on or after 4/14, the rebate will be for $100, paid to the same credit card. If you are a student who paid in full by check, you will also get a $100 rebate, paid by check.

Panel of experts formed

The panel discussion on Wednesday afternoon will be titled: "How can a focus on "science" advance research in cybersecurity?". Discussion will be moderated by Carl Landwehr. See the program for a detailed description and list of distinguished panelists.
