Hotel Information

The Symposium will be held at the Claremont Resort, in Berkeley, California, "one of the few hotels in the world with warmth, character and charm" according to Frank Lloyd Wright.
 

Making Hotel Reservations

A block of rooms has been put aside for Symposium attendees. There are two types of rooms available:

You will need to specify which type of room you would like when making your reservation. Please note that both rooms are limited availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.

These rooms are being held under the code name of "IEEE Computer Society" and are on hold until 5pm Pacific Time, Friday April 13. After this, rooms and rates will be on an availability-only basis.  The Hotel phone number is 1-800-551-7266.

The Hotel may require a deposit in advance from individual guests to guarantee a particular reservation.  Guaranteed reservations are held until at least midnight, at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited.  

Travel

The Claremont is easily accessible through three airports, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. Driving Directions to the Claremont are given for San Francisco and Oakland. If you are driving from San Jose, leave San Jose airport and head to Oakland. Once in/near Oakland, follow the driving directions given.
