We solicit unpublished short position papers (up to 4 pages) and long papers reporting technical, research or industry experience (up to 8 pages) on all dimensions of the privacy engineering domain. Authors must submit an extended abstract prior to the paper submission. This abstract is aimed at 1) helping organizers understand whether the paper is on-topic early in the review process; and, 2) allowing reviewers to choose their preferred manuscripts in advance of the paper submission.

All submissions must be original work. The submitter must clearly document any overlap with previously published papers from any of the authors. Failure to point out and explain overlap will be grounds for rejection.

Extended abstracts should be 300-700 words, entered as plain text at the submission page at EasyChair.

Papers must follow IEEE Conference Proceedings format and must be formatted for US letter (not A4) size paper. Failure to adhere to the page limit and formatting requirements can be grounds for rejection.

Abstracts must be entered as plain text at EasyChair.

Papers must be uploaded to EasyChair and must be in Portable Document Format (.pdf). Authors should pay special attention to unusual fonts, images, and figures that might create problems for reviewers. Your document should render correctly in Adobe Reader 9 and when printed in black and white.

All abstracts and papers must be submitted via EasyChair at:
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iwpe17

Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will attend the workshop to present the paper.

Note that student travel grants are available to help partially cover the travel expenses of student attendees to the symposium and the workshops. Please, check the S&P Symposium website for further details
